What we collect

The volunteer form

The volunteer form asks for your name and email address, and optionally a ZIP code, how you would like to help, and a message.

What you send is emailed to the campaign so someone can reply. It is not stored in a database on this website, and it is not sold, rented or shared with anyone else.

Abuse prevention

To stop automated form spam, this website briefly keeps a one-way scrambled fingerprint of the network address a submission came from, for sixty seconds. The address itself is never stored, and the fingerprint cannot be turned back into one.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies for ordinary visitors. It has no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking scripts. WordPress sets cookies only for people who log in to administer the site.

What is loaded from elsewhere

The site’s typefaces are served by Google Fonts. Loading them means your browser contacts fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, which reveals your network address to Google. Nothing else on the site is fetched from a third party.

The campaign updates section, once connected, is fetched by this website’s own server rather than by your browser — so viewing it does not put you in touch with any social platform, and those platforms are not told that you visited.

Buttons that link to Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube or a donation processor are ordinary links. Nothing is shared with those companies unless you click through, at which point their own privacy terms apply.

Children

This website is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

You can use this website without giving any information at all. If you have subscribed or written to the campaign and want your details removed, contact the campaign and ask.

Changes

If what this website does with information changes, this page changes with it.
